Karen Hogue is the Interim Director for Troops to Teachers Virginia. Karen has her Master’s in Business Administration. Karen provides career counseling services to military and veteran participants and is a member of the team responsible for program development and evaluation of the Virginia Center’s initiatives. She is the webmaster for the Virginia Center’s website and manages the Center’s social media. Karen began as a specialist with the STEM Education Alliance, developing informal programs and related supports for STEM educational outreach.
Ed Gawlik is a Military Veteran Liaison Specialist and License Processor for Troops to Teachers. Ed has his Master of Science in Instructional Leadership in Curriculum/Instruction. Ed provides career counseling services to military and veteran participants and is a member of the team responsible for synchronizing the Virginia Center’s initiatives with the Department of Defense programs. Ed is a 28 year Army veteran and can assist participants in the challenges of transitioning out of the service. In addition to TTT, Ed is a teacher and coach in a local high school which gives him first-hand knowledge with which to share with you as you begin your route to teaching and/or coaching.
